Sigil–Sigil is a multi-platform EPUB ebook editor

Calibre–Calibre is a free and open source e-book library management application developed by users of ebooks for users of ebooks. Has good conversion tools and an e-reader.

Mobipocket Creator –Used for converting ebooks to Kindle’s .mobi format. Note: Does not work with Windows 7 64-bit.

Smashwords–Be sure to download the Smashwords¬† Style Guide–it’s invaluable for formatting your manuscript before trying to convert it into any of the most popular ebook formats.
